Raising standards in care home catering
We had a fantastic few days at the Care Show 2025 towards the end of April - it was certainly an event to remember! Hosted at the ExCeL in London, thousands of social care professionals came together to share their knowledge and offer inspiring opportunities. In partnership with our friends at White Oaks, we presented a programme of talks and demos over two days. We focused on the concept ‘Putting Food First: Choice, Quality & Creativity in Care Catering.’ Together, we explored how thoughtful catering can improve dignity and wellness in care home settings.

(Very) Moreish meals
When we showcased our Moreish meal range, it certainly created a buzz at the show. Designed to delight a wide variety of appetites, our prepared meals combine freedom of choice, high nutritional density, and exceptional flavour. From our range of 140 dishes, we cherry-picked some classics for attendees to sample, including indulgent mac ‘n’ cheese and sizzling chicken tikka masala. It’s safe to say our care home catering samples went down a treat – at one stage, our lunch queue stretched right back around the corner!

Elevating senior living catering
At the Cuisine Centre, we know that time is valuable to staff in senior living communities. Our in-house chefs and dieticians have worked hard to craft delicious meals that can be prepared easily, freeing up time so that support can be applied in more critical areas. All the while, the food quality is consistent and delicious, with ample choices so that a variety of meals and snacks can be enjoyed as little and as often as is suited.
A sweet finale
The programme wrapped up on a sweet note with a live demo of protein-rich chocolates by the White Oaks culinary team. A crowd quickly came together to watch the ‘Melting Moments’ truffles in action – versatile treats that can dissolve in hot milk or be enjoyed as a decadent snack. It was the perfect close to an event that puts joy and innovation at the heart of catering for care homes. We're already looking forward to the next show at the NEC Birmingham in October!
A huge thank you to the brilliant team at White Oaks for partnering with us at this year’s Care Show. They brought a great mix of practical insight and creativity to the event, helping to spark some really valuable conversations around food and care. Find out more about their work here.
