As a proud member of Love British Food, the Cuisine Centre is part of a community of organisations flying the flag for British food and farming. Love British Food celebrates delicious food produced right here in the UK, with a focus on responsible sourcing and environmental sustainability. Whether it’s high-welfare meat from local farms or seasonal veggies grown on British soil, we’re fully backing their mission to keep our country’s food heritage alive. 

One way we support the best of British produce is by working with local suppliers, including one of the UK’s leading food development and production companies: Roberts of Port Dinorwic. 

For almost 20 years, Roberts has been a valued partner in our mission to deliver nutritious, sustainable, and delicious meals. Together, we’ve developed a range of irresistible dishes, each designed to meet the specific needs of our customers across healthcare, senior living, education, and workplace environments.

Roberts of Port Dinorwic has been a key player in food development and production for over 100 years. Starting from humble beginnings back in 1924, the company began by crafting pork pies in a small butcher’s shop in North Wales. 
 
Now a 4th-generation family business, they supply a wide range of prepared meats and vegan and vegetarian options to pub retailers, food service companies, wholesalers, and prepared meal manufacturers across the UK. 

Roberts was tasked with creating a selection of prepared meats that met our key requirements: authenticity, ease of preparation, consistency, transparency of ingredients, and nutritional value. We also made sustainability a top priority, making sure each dish minimised food waste and left a positive impact on our planet.   
 
Working closely with our talented development team, they developed five tasty dishes that celebrated a variety of global cuisines: 

• Char Sui Belly Pork 
• Middle Eastern Shredded Chicken 
• Beef and Vegetable Meatballs 
• Diced Chicken 
• Sliced Turkey
